Social Distortion have released a cover of a classic Creedence Clearwater Revival tune "Up Around The Bend". The song was recorded for the soundtrack to the upcoming animated film Free Birds,which will star Owen Wilson and Woody Harrelson.

Frontman Mike Ness had this to say to Rolling Stone:

“In third grade, I was listening to Creedence Clearwater records as well as Beatles and Rolling Stones. Covering this song was easy and natural, as it is a major part of the foundation in my songwriting. It was a blast recording it and it will be even more fun playing it live.”
